Making Mistakes Properly: A Key to Earning Money
Making Mistakes Properly: A Key to Earning Money
Today, let's talk about a key term: the sense of relaxation.
To be honest, I don't have much of that sense of relaxation. Instead, I have a stronger sense of order, rules, and planning.
I've observed and compared some friends around me, and I'm above average in this regard.
I've seen some people who are much better at planning and detail - control than me. They can plan their days down to the hour or even the minute, and they can arrange things for a week, half a month, or even a month at a time.
On the other hand, there are also many people around me who hardly make any plans or really hate repetitive tasks. They can't stand doing the same things every day. Maybe they'll break down after just ten - odd days of such tasks.
In my opinion, these are two extremes, and I'm probably above the middle level.
If we use scores to measure, some people might get 30 points, while others can reach 90 or 100 points. I'm probably around 70 or 80 points.
From my own perspective, I want to keep my daily life stable and free from mistakes and chaos because I don't like sudden or troublesome things.
For example, if I lose something and have to get it replaced, it'll waste my time and mess up my schedule. Or, if something useless pops up in daily life, like losing my ID card or keys, or missing a train and having to buy a new ticket and rearrange my trip.
So, over the years, I've hardly lost anything really important. Of course, I've lost a lot of unimportant things, like umbrellas.
In my subconscious, I think these things aren't very important, or they cost little and are easy to deal with.
But having perfect plans or making few mistakes in life and work isn't always a good thing.
It means your anti - fragility might be a bit low. For example, your flexibility, adaptability, emergency response ability, and the ability to handle unexpected situations will be much weaker.
Moreover, you'll miss out on a lot of experiences and lack relevant skills.
Making mistakes in work and life means you're trying new things, challenging yourself, stepping into uncharted areas, or dealing with difficult tasks, instead of just staying in a fixed circle.
So, in the next stage, I want to try and experience the unknown.
Don't make overly perfect plans. Leave some room for mistakes. You can even deliberately mess up a thing or two, as long as it's within your tolerance.
By doing this, you can train your anti - fragility and your ability to handle unexpected situations.
The sense of relaxation comes from confidence, skills, and past experiences, which together shape a certain mindset.
True relaxation usually needs a rich life experience to develop.
When most things are "expected", they aren't very new to you and won't go far beyond your ability.
So, how can you deliberately train your sense of relaxation?
The first way is to find things that you can fix if something goes wrong and that won't cause much trouble. And don't plan too much for the time, or you can even skip the plan altogether.
The second way is to do something really new and challenging for you after careful preparation.
It's recommended to use the first method in daily life. Since there aren't usually big problems in life, you can try new things and make mistakes.
The second method is better used in work, making money, or starting a business. It's meaningful to do some difficult and challenging things that are valuable and can bring you income.
But when doing these things, you really need to be well - prepared, not deliberately unprepared.
In conclusion, in life, you can make fewer plans and try new things. In work, you should be well - prepared and take on challenging tasks.
