When AI Swallows Valuable Content, 'Daily Life Chronicles' Become Scarce Resources
When AI Swallows Valuable Content, 'Daily Life Chronicles' Become Scarce Resources
The Monotony of Current Content
Behind the words, everyone is living their own story and life. Lately, I've gotten tired of reading articles. Most of the content is about preaching truths, presenting logic, sharing valuable insights, experiences, or various tutorials.
Sure, specific experiences or tutorials are valuable when you search for them out of real need. But generally, they're not for daily reading. You usually look for them when you have a specific demand.
Other types of content, like those about business, emotions, cognition, and life reflections, are abundant. However, they commonly share a trait: excessive packaging, filled with too many flowery expressions and formulaic phrases. This even includes what I've written myself, which is why I'm not too fond of my own stuff now.
The Allure of Personal Stories
Instead, I'm more easily drawn to content with a strong personal touch and style. Usually, it's just about a person's stories, life, and experiences, simply recorded without much skill or fancy writing.
This kind of content doesn't spout a lot of grand truths, nor does it deliberately promote various values or perspectives. It won't try to convince you of anything. It just records one's life, experiences, daily routines, and emotions, immersing in one's own journey.
Such content is becoming rarer. There are already plenty of resources for valuable tutorials. With AI, you can directly use it to summarize, and the efficiency and results are great. As for those so - called truths, they're everywhere.
It's not that this content has no value or is wrong. It's just that there's too much of it, making it seem useless. If you just read it without taking action, it doesn't really have any substantial effect. Sometimes, after reading, you might just feel anxious. You get a momentary thrill but end up being slow to act, and nothing really changes.
If your actions can't keep up with your knowledge, sometimes it's better to be a bit naive. That way, you can get things done faster.
The Blurred Line between AI and Human Writing
Often, people can't tell whether the content is written by AI or a human. I often see in groups or comment sections that people discuss whether certain content is AI - generated. Sometimes, they even ask directly.
I actually prefer content that seems illogical, unstructured, just random thoughts and casual records, full of personal stories and emotions.
The Deceptiveness of Words and Images
Going back to the beginning, if you want to uncover the truth or story behind the words, we all know that videos are edited. They can be easily fabricated, taken out of context, and heavily packaged. And words are even more deceptive. There's almost no cost to create them. Here, "false" doesn't necessarily mean someone is lying. It just means they're creating an illusion.
Some people claim to not care about certain things and have a certain set of values, missions, or goals. But that's just what they say and write. In reality, they might not think so at all. When they're writing this content, you don't even know what they're actually doing. For example, when I'm writing these words, I'm actually on the road, maybe in front of a snack stand, walking home under an umbrella.
A person who claims to be a long - term thinker might actually be a speculator. It's quite normal. Someone who seems to have a refined life on their social media might actually be living in a small rented apartment with a lot of noise at night.
The Lack of Authenticity in Current Content
In fact, many people's actions don't match what they express. That's why there's a saying: "Work is work, and life is life." Often, our actions are driven by certain purposes. For example, when people write articles, post videos, or express opinions, many do it to make money, or for business activities. In real life, they might be completely different.
So, when facing certain things, topics, so - called values, or slogans, you should focus on what's really going on behind them or what that person is actually doing.
The Problem with Over - packaged Content
Nowadays, most content has become rather boring. It's all so similar, like it's been made from the same mold. There's hardly any value in reading or referring to it.
For content to be valuable, the person behind it has to be real, a living, breathing individual. Only then can I understand what you're going through and learn something from your story. After excessive decoration, many details are hidden. After reading a few similar pieces, you'll feel they're all the same, and there's no need to read the rest.
The Rarity of Authentic Stories
Stories are truly scarce, and this is also an area where I'm not very good. I'm not good at expressing emotions and telling stories, and I still tend to deliberately polish my content.
In this era, IP and AI are tools for ordinary people to make a change. And stories and experiences are what set you apart from others.
